In this post will show you how to list and change timezones as per to your current location in RedHat linux operating system.
Execute the below command in a shell prompt to list all the available timezone.
root@redhatlinuxcli# timedatectl list-timezones
Login as a root user and then execute the below command to change the presently used timezone.
root@redhatlinuxcli# timedatectl set-timezone <available listed timezones>
Changing the TimeZone Example:
1) First of all, execute the below command and find out the appropriate timezones which is very near to your current location.
root@redhatlinuxcli# timedatectl list-timezones | grep Asia
2) Being a root user, execute the below command to change the timezone to Asia/Katmandu
root@redhatlinuxcli# timedatectl set-timezone Asia/Katmandu
Now you have successfully changed to a new timezone.
